Training Pastor
Our School trains Christians and then deploys our students to influence different areas of society - business, arts, churches etc… helping to bring Heaven to Earth and win Australia for Jesus.
The School utilises technology such as Facebook groups, social media, Skype/Zoom calls and similar to draw our students from around Australia into a team who run together to influence our nation. We are highly committed to students being trained and deployed into their calls much like a taskforce for Jesus. As such, we draw on whatever technology is necessary to create effective teams in different geographies around the country.
The School is in its second year, so we are still heavily building and establishing processes.
You will be joining us to lead the 2018 First Year students in training and deployment. The Training Pastor is primarily responsible for running a weekly small group class focused on practice and activation. During these classes we create an environment for students to put into practice what they are learning during lectures to gain practical experience in ministering. We also assist students to apply learned ministry skills to their workplaces or environments of influence. We alternate between online and face-to-face classes each fortnight.
Overview of the role:
· Planning and leading a 3-hour class according to the School’s weekly class template (This is similar to a church weekly cell-group catch-up, but with a very practical focus. This may include worship, prayer, teaching, training videos, testimonies and activities focused on practicing supernatural ministry – for example, having students share a 2-minute gospel message, prophesying, treasure hunting and similar).
· Sharing/teaching for 20 minutes on a topic that will equip students for ministry
· Coordinating a small volunteer team of students who will assist at classes
Requirements for the ideal candidate:
· Confident in interacting with people and overseeing small teams
· Experience in leading a small group
· Administrative ability – for example, developing a run sheet for each week
· Experience in supernatural ministry
· A broad knowledge of Christian resources to draw on for training
· Good technology skills and the ability to run Skype/Zoom calls
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Displays a strong work ethic
· Doesn’t require much oversight
(Excellent internet access and phone reception is also necessary)
BSSM training or other supernatural/evangelistic ministry training would be considered an asset.
This is a voluntary role of 5 hours per week - 2 hours of preparation and liaising with the school’s Director, and 3 hours of class time. Evening classes are either Monday or Thursday evenings and alternate fortnightly. Please note, our face-to-face classes are based in Chirnside Park, Victoria.
Apply now by sending a personalised cover letter explaining why you are an ideal candidate and outlining relevant experience to info@schooloffaith.com.au by Sunday, 5th August 2018.
